Angelica Tynix - Concept Sheet

Here is Angelica's Tynix transformation. Along with both evolutions of her tynix pet.
Her tynix animal is named Kobe, and was inspired by a Koi Betta Fish.

Personally not my favorite transformation. I love the wings and the evolving pet idea.
However, I hate the glass shards style dress design as a whole.
Trying to design a unique animal, in two stages, is a pain.
That's the main reason why I have put it off for so long.

Angelica ... the fairy of healing.

Angelica is the best friend of a witch named Illianna. They grew up together experimenting with their powers together. Angelica can heal any illness created by Illianna. Angelica is feisty, and although she looks prim and proper, she loves dangerous situations and is always ready for a new adventure.

Favorite colors - Purple, magenta, and gold.
Deepest Secret - her best friend is a witch of illness named Illianna, now enrolled at Cloudtower.

Ashlynn's NEW Charmix

Why the change? Well, the original design I made was from about 7 years ago, but I never finished it until last year. During the last 6 months I designed several new charmix with no characters in mind. After a while I found the old design just didn't suit the character, at least not at this stage of her fairy evolution. I did reuse the old design for her Sirenix transformation instead. I'm really happy with the new designs. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments.

Ashlynn ... fairy of Embers, and Guardian of the Eternal Flame.

Backstory: Ashlynn was 16th inline to the throne of Embrosia, and never thought about or cared that she had royal blood. She loves art and hoped to become known as a famous painter. However, assassins killed the royal family and all the immediate heirs to the throne. Her father (a power hungry diplomat) engineered the assassination to ensure his claim to the throne. When Ashlynn discovers this she vows to stop her father, but doing this would put her on the throne instead. So she secretly enrolled at Alfea to learn how to be a good fairy, and an even better ruler. When her father tried to gain even more power by taking control of the Eternal Flame - rumored to grant imortality and imesurable power - Ashlynn heads home with her friends to try to stop him. Her father is consumed by the power of the Eternal flame and kills Ashlynn. His grief consumes him and his new power turns inward burning him to ash. Fanny, the pixie guardian of the eternal flame uses the ashes to create Sparky - a pheonix - that uses it's power of eternal flame to bring Ashlynn back to life. The kingdom asks Ashlynn to be their queen after all she died to save them, but she declines until she has completed her training at Alfea. In her absence she appoints the next 3 candidates for the throne as a ruling tribunal.

Regular Pet - Sparky - Phoenix (sparks into life randomly surprising anyone nearby)
Love & Pet - Dalmation
Origin - from the realm of Embrosia (pronounced Em-Bro-She-Ah)
Pixie - Fanny - Keeper of the Eternal Flame

When I updated Ahslynn's Charmix design I decided to use her original look as part of her Sirenix design.
I'm very happy with how it turned out. I also used the same dots pattern from her pants in her Believix wings.
I thought that gave a nice cohesive feel.

Ashlynn's Butterflix

Ashlynn ... fairy of Embers, and Guardian of the Eternal Flame.

Backstory: Ashlynn was 16th inline to the throne of Embrosia, and never thought about or cared that she had royal blood. She loves art and hoped to become known as a famous painter. However, assassins killed the royal family and all the immediate heirs to the throne. Her father (a power hungry diplomat) engineered the assassination to ensure his claim to the throne. When Ashlynn discovers this she vows to stop her father, but doing this would put her on the throne instead. So she secretly enrolled at Alfea to learn how to be a good fairy, and an even better ruler. When her father tried to gain even more power by taking control of the Eternal Flame - rumored to grant imortality and imesurable power - Ashlynn heads home with her friends to try to stop him. Her father is consumed by the power of the Eternal flame and kills Ashlynn. His grief consumes him and his new power turns inward burning him to ash. Fanny, the pixie guardian of the eternal flame uses the ashes to create Sparky - a pheonix - that uses it's power of eternal flame to bring Ashlynn back to life. The kingdom asks Ashlynn to be their queen after all she died to save them, but she declines until she has completed her training at Alfea. In her absence she appoints the next 3 candidates for the throne as a ruling tribunal.

Powers - She is very lucky, and can give good or bad luck to those around her.
Origin - Eldest daughter from the royal family of Fortuna. Her home planet is the wealthiest in all of Magix, and is the banking center of all the realms. There is no better place to keep your fortune safe except on planet Fortuna.
Favorite Food - Watermelon
Backstory: She loves ladybugs, and is often called the Lucky Ladybug Fairy of Fortuna.

Concept Sheet - Xan Butterflix

::: Xan's Butterflix :::

Xan (short for Roxanne) is a very special fairy. Her power is over minerals (rock, metal, sand). She is a princess, and heir to a long line of magical time keeping devices. Not only do these clocks keep time, they record the history of that time (past, present, & future).

Her basic power (the power she shows people) is simple manipulation of the minerals around her. She can animate rock into rock monsters, etc. But her real power is what happens to the rocks she controls. Once her power touches the minerals they become imbued with the ability to record time. Only those skilled in the craft can use them to create time keeping masterpieces. The tiniest pebbles she imbues are worth a small fortune. So she keeps her power a secret so people don't try to steal the rocks she uses when in battle. She is heartbroken by the devastation caused when people try to mine area's where her power has been used searching for those few raw minerals of Time.

Personality traits -- Cautious, punctual, hates those who steal, dislikes those who destroy the earth to mine for her imbued rocks.

Physical features -- Long white hair, white eyes, mocha skin, ruby lips.

Her pet "Rocky" -- when she was a young girl, she was very lonely (because most children used her for her powers) she created a playmate for herself. A pet rock monster the size of a small dog. She used so much power and love to create it that it took on a life and personality of it's own. It can sense when she is in trouble, and it will come to her aide often and can also grow in size using the minerals nearby in order to protect her. Because Xan put so much of her energy/power into creating it that it can't die or be destroyed. It was the very first time piece she ever created and it marked her as a prodigy of her craft.

Chrysa Liss - Fairy of Insects.

First Name - Chrysa
Last Name - Liss
Nickname - Shutter Bug
Origin - One of many children born to the Emperor and Empress of the Cocoonos Islands (pronounced: C-oh C-ooh N-ohs). Her home world offers the best surveillance services in all of Magix. From Detectives, PI's, Bodyguards, and Spies, to high tech surveillance equipment.
Powers - She can communicate with all insects, and they can do surveillance for her. She can also create a magical swarm of bugs to aid her in battle. This magical swarm can shield her from attacks, or surround her enemies and distract them. This magical swarm can join together to create a larger single insect to perform a massive attack.
Spells - Swarm, Swarm: Shield, Wasp Sting, etc.

Backstory: Chrysa is by far the most soft spoken, and shy of her siblings. She prefers to stand behind the camera unlike the rest of her royal family members. When she was little she would always run and hide when ever the annual royal family portrait was commissioned. Her eldest brother gave her a camera as a joke saying if you don't want to be in front of the camera, then be the one behind it instead. She took that camera everywhere earning her the nick name Shutter Bug. Her dorm at Alfea is filled with photo equipment and bookshelves lined with scrap books and photo albums.

Marlina ... fairy of Waters.

Marlina is the only heir to the realm of Aquatica. Her childhood was spent studying how to rule, which left her very lonely. Marlina's personal maid (a single mother working at the palace) had a daughter the same age, Breeza. The royal family allowed the two children to play together to ease the burden of work/mom life. The two became fast friends. Marlina is a bit bossy towards Breeza from time to time, but Breeza hardly ever lets her get her way.

Marlina - princess of Aquatica.
Powers - control of liquids (sea water is easiest) on a molecular level, bending and shaping it to her will.
Nickname - Mara
Best Friend - Breeza
Pixie - Sandy, the guardian of beaches.

Zilla... fairy of electricity. Pronounced "Z-eye-yah" (the double L is a Y sound).

Zilla is the daughter of King Cryos of Zenith. While she has standard lightning powers, Zilla prefers to use her powers to manipulate technology. She can turn on, off, overload, and interfere with electrical impulses in any electronic device. She is a skilled hacker, and her hacker handle is zZz.

Her main feature is that she stores energy from the sun. She uses Solar magic, and can boost the power of other fairies, as well as summon her stored energy to use when under ground, or under water (basically anywhere the Sun isn't shining).

Shanee - fairy of Transfiguration.

A little background info:
She can understand, and speak to animals. She is from a small tribe a people similar to Native Americans. This tribe is know for it's strong warriors who are often recruited by Red Fountain. Eager to prove herself just as strong as one of the guys, Shanee secretly enters the scouting competition. During the battle she powers up for the first time to save her child hood friend who also entered the tournament. Because she lied to gain entry to the competition, the fact that she's a girl, and since she turned out to be a fairy, she was disqualified ... but her bravery and friendship earned her a high recommendation to the headmistress of Alfea.

As she grows into her powers she discovers that she can merge with animals as well as communicate with them.
For instance ... If she merges with a horse she turns into a centaur. If she merges with a fish she becomes a mermaid. If she merges with a snake she becomes a gorgon.

She also can see through the eyes of animals. She often sends her pet raven on scouting missions so she can see what dangers are around, or to help find someone who is lost in the wilderness.

Paisley ... fairy of Plants.

Backstory: A southern bell, born to the wealthy plantation family of Cottonwood. Her family produces the highest quality linen, and paper products used in almost every spell book and magical scroll dating back 13 generations. She has no royal blood but is treated like a princess because of her wealth and upbringing. She has been associating with the rich and famous since she was in diapers. Magical beings from all the realms are often found touring her home and the lush family Pear orchards. Most of the stores around her home are owned by her family. Cottonwood Couture is her elder sisters famous dress shop. If you are rich or royal and heading down the red carpet you always shop at Cottonwood Couture. She is very good natured despite her snobbish upbringing. If you can make it into her tight-knit circle of friends she will always show you her true southern charms.

Powers: She grows plants to help her in battle.
